Oilers Ranked 23rd in NABC Preseason National Poll
Kansas City, Mo.- The University of Findlay men's basketball team will begin the 2025-26 season as the 23rd-ranked team in NCAA Division II as the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) unveiled their preseason poll on Tuesday, Oct. 29. UF was the lone program in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) ranked in the poll. This is Findlay's first appearance in the preseason poll since 2019-20 when they were tabbed 17th.
The Oilers finished last season with a 24-5 record and a 17-3 mark in the league. Findlay's season came to an end as they fell in the quarterfinals of the Great Midwest Basketball Tournament. The Oilers will open their season Friday, Nov. 14 as they take on Truman State in Quincy, Ill. at 5pm CT / 6pm ET.

The University of Findlay football team, which is one of seven undefeated teams in the country at 8-0, make an appearance in the poll which, for the first round of voting, is listed alphabetically as teams that are "under consideration". This is the second consecutive year that the Oilers have appeared in the debut of the regional rankings.

Auer guided the Oilers to a dominant weekend, sweeping Ursuline on Friday, Lake Erie on Saturday, and Clarion on Sunday.
