Oilers Finish Fifth at Fall Midwest Collegiate
Peru, Ind. – The University of Findlay men's golf team wrapped up the Midwest Collegiate hosted at Rock Hollow Golf Club on Tuesday, Sept. 25. Findlay earned a 5Th place finish, shooting a +24 total for the event. Great Midwest Athletic Conference foe, Tiffin University, captured the team title with rounds of +2, E, and +9 to post a winning score of +11.
Senior Luke Metzger led the way for the Oilers, posing a +1 total score with rounds of 74 (+2), 73 (+1), and 70 (-2), respectively. Metzger's strong finishing round led him to yet another top 10 finish in his career.
Senior Zach Miller provided steady play, tying for 11th place with rounds of 76 (+4), 70 (-2), and 74 (+2). Ross Dietz continues his freshman campaign finishing T24 at +8, followed by Sophomore Cahle Roth T32 at +11, and Junior Colin Schadek T74 at +23.
Representing the Oilers as individuals, Senior Brady Gazarek posted an +11 total placing him T32 alongside teammate Cahle Roth, and Junior Tyler Brockwell posted a +22 total finishing T72.
The Oilers will return to action on Monday, Oct. 6, when they travel to Lakewood Country Club located in Westlake, Ohio to play in the Tom Tontimonia Invitational hosted by Cleveland State University.

With the setback, the no. 21 Oilers move to 10-2 overall and 4-1 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play, while Cedarville improves to 11-2 on the season and remains unbeaten in league action at 5-0.

The Oilers move to 5-2-3 overall and 4-1-1 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference play, while the Dragons fall to 1-6-2 on the season and 0-5-1 in conference play.

- Men's Soccer Falls on the Road to TiffinTiffin, Ohio - The University of Findlay took a trip down the road on Saturday, Oct. 4 to take on rival Tiffin University. Traveling back to Paradiso Fields for the first time since clinching the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) tournament championship last fall, the Oilers would fall to the Dragons by a score of 3-0. With the loss, Findlay falls to 4-4-1 overall and 3-2-1 in conference play. Meanwhile, Tiffin sees their record move to 5-2-1 overall and 4-1-0 in conference.
- Cross Country Competes at OWU InvitationalPowell, Ohio- The University of Findlay cross country teams took part in the OWU Invitational, hosted by Division III Ohio Wesleyan University on Friday, Oct. 3. The men's team placed seventh, while only four women competed, which was not enough for a team scoring finish.
