Men's Soccer Battles to 2-2 Draw with Thomas More

Findlay, Ohio - The University of Findlay men's soccer team battled to a 2-2 draw against Thomas More on Saturday, October 18 at DeHaven Field. The result moves the Oilers to 6-4-2 overall and 5-2-2 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) action. The Saints move to 7-4-2 overall and 5-2-2 G-MAC play. 

Findlay opened the scoring in the 22nd minute when junior Leo Egerer tallied his fourth goal of the season off an assist from senior Tom Middleham, giving the Oilers an early 1-0 advantage.

After the Saints scored twice in the second half, Findlay quickly responded as junior Brendan Wishart found the equalizer just 90 seconds later, slotting home his first goal of the season off a pass from senior Ryan Dickinson to make it 2-2.

The Oilers recorded eight total shots, including five on goal, and earned three corner kicks. The Oilers defense limited the Saints to just four shots on target.

Wishart led the team with three shots and two on target, while Dickinson and junior Andre Sardinha each added one shot on goal. Egerer's lone shot found the back of the net for the opening goal.
In goal, senior Keegan Grant played all 90 minutes, finishing with one save.

Findlay will hit the road on Thursday, October 23, when the Oilers take on Kentucky Wesleyan in Owensboro, Kentucky at 8:30 p.m.
