Week 8 is a week of wins for UF

University of Findlay fall sports are still enjoying success. On Monday, Oct. 27, the latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II Coaches Poll placed the Oilers at No. 11. Ashland University moved up to No. 17. Those are the only two G-MAC teams in the top 25.

There are four Super Regions in DII football. Each Super Region consists of eight teams. Currently, UF is one of 10 teams in the running for those eight spots in Super Region 3. Two other G-MAC teams “under consideration” are Northwood and Ashland, UF’s next two competitors.

Women’s soccer at UF (9-3-4) is also “under consideration” in the first round of regional rankings released by the NCAA this week. NCAA DII women’s soccer is made up of eight regions. There are four total G-MAC teams in the Midwest region including Ashland (11-2-3), Cedarville (10-2-4), and Northwood Universities (9-1-5).

The women’s soccer team travels to Pepper Pike, Ohio to take on Ursline College Saturday, Nov. 1 at noon and will finish the season at home against Tiffin University Nov. 4 at 2:30 p.m.

The men’s soccer team beat Ashland University at home Oct. 30 bringing its record to 8-5-2. IT will travel to Painesville, Ohio to take on Lake Erie College at 1 p.m. Nov. 1 and finish the regular season at home at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 4 against Tiffin University.

Women’s golf dropped from No. 1 in the nation to No. 3. This the third Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Coaches Poll Fall 2025 season. The team tied for third in the Intercollegiate at Nemacolin tournament hosted by Findlay Oct. 20 and 21. The men’s golf team finished runner-up at the same tournament.

The post season has started for the Oiler cross country teams. The women’s team came in 3rd of 12 teams and the men’s team came in 4th of 11 teams at the G-MAC tournament Saturday, Oct. 25. Next up is NCAA DII Midwest Regional in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Saturday, Nov. 8.
