New President Elected for UF Alumni Board of Governors
Samuel Yates, ’16, of Findlay, has been elected president of the University of Findlay Alumni Board of Governors.
“The University of Findlay has been an essential part of my career and personal life, so I am honored to be able to serve and give back to my alma mater in this way,” said Yates, who works at Marathon Petroleum Corporation.
“The Alumni Board of Governors consists of some of the most passionate alumni who are committed to promoting the University through our activities and events,” he noted. “As president of the board, my goals are to continue to grow our relationship with the University and its students, and to increase alumni involvement in UF activities.”
At a May 1 meeting, he accepted the gavel from past president Nicole Burgy ’99.
Kelly Lavelle, director of the Wolfe Center for Alumni, Parents and Friends, thanked Burgy for her service as president.
