Giving Tuesday to celebrate the power of making a difference on Nov. 28
In this season of generosity, University of Findlay alumni, friends, parents, faculty, and staff are invited to make a difference through Giving Tuesday on November 28. The annual event takes place in conjunction with the globally recognized #GivingTuesday.
Held the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, #GivingTuesday is celebrated as an international day of giving, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.
This year, UF is focusing on support of the student experience, including athletic programs. Whether it’s for a specific sport, the Oilers Club (athletic boosters), or the Findlay Fund (supporting the University’s general fund), donors have the opportunity to help current and future students enjoy “the full Findlay experience.”
More than 700 Oiler student-athletes currently compete in 22 varsity sports. Last year, eight programs won conference championships and athletes earned more than 100 G-MAC conference honors.
“Your gift keeps the Findlay experience vibrant and enriches the lives of students every single day,” explained Madelynn Greenslade ‘21, UF director of annual giving. “Your support creates opportunities, inspires hard work and determination, encourages gratitude, and provides a philanthropic role model for all UF students.”
Last year, 688 donors made gifts totaling $160,769 on Giving Tuesday, which set a new record, according to Greenslade.
Donations are now being accepted through UF’s secure, online service GiveCampus. All gifts are tax deductible.
