Football Team Continues to Serve Findlay Community with Various Initiatives
Findlay, Ohio - The Findlay Oilers football team has been making waves beyond the field this fall, extending their teamwork and dedication into the heart of the community. Known for their grit and determination on game day, the Oilers carried those same values into service roles that supported local events and youth programs. Their actions reflected not just athletic leadership, but the deeper culture of responsibility and unity embedded in the program.
This fall, the team's captains visited Liberty-Benton Middle School, where they helped teach students the fundamentals and rules of football. Through hands-on instruction and encouragement, the players used their leadership to make the game more accessible to younger athletes, reinforcing the importance of understanding, teamwork, and confidence in learning a new sport.
Another key example was their participation in the Findlay Halloween Parade, where players stepped up as part of the event's security team. The team also swapped their pads for whistles to serve as volunteer referees for the Upward flag football league.
