With chatbots talking to customers, virtual assistants managing schedules, and algorithms guarding cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI) is everywhere in today’s workplaces.

On Friday, October 13, the University of Findlay’s “Fridays at Findlay” lecture series will be “Empowering the Workplace with AI,” featuring speaker Mike McDaniel, president of DXC Modern Workplace.

McDaniel will discuss artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR) and how they can deliver optimal customer outcomes.

DXC, based in Phoenix, Arizona, is one of the largest providers of workplace services, serving 1,000 of the largest companies in the world.

McDaniel will share insights from his substantial experience in management, technology, engineering, and operations across disciplines such as technology consulting and sales, global business process outsourcing, logistics, procurement, and engineering development and testing.

He holds a master’s of business administration from Bowling Green State University and bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Toledo.

The event, open to the campus and community, will take place will take place in the Winebrenner TLB Auditorium on the University of Findlay’s campus. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. for a breakfast buffet with the presentation from 8 to 9 a.m.

Sponsored by Premier Bank, the Fridays at Findlay lecture series encourages continued educational opportunities for members of the community, the campus, and alumni regarding best leadership practices.
