University of Findlay Alumnus Named Program Chair at Ivy Tech Community College

University of Findlay is proud to celebrate alumnus Payton M. Scott, DPT, who has recently been named Program Chair for Healthcare Special Interests at Ivy Tech Community College, Muncie Campus. In this role, Scott oversees retention, progression, and completion efforts for multiple academic programs and certificate options, guiding students toward successful careers in healthcare.
Scott earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Findlay in 2023, adding to his impressive academic credentials in physical therapy and athletic training. A licensed physical therapist and athletic trainer, he continues to practice in an outpatient sports and orthopedic clinic while teaching courses in the Physical Therapist Assistant and Healthcare Specialist Programs.
An advocate for lifelong learning, Scott brings a passion for education, research, and clinical practice to his work. His faculty-directed research at the University of Findlay was published in the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2024.
