‘Fridays at Findlay’ Dec. 1 to Feature Toledo Museum of Art

Beyond the beauty of classic Impressionist paintings, ancient Egyptian artifacts, and elegant glass designs, what role does art play in the community and in stimulating the local economy?On Friday, December 1, the University of Findlay’s “Fridays at Findlay” lecture series will feature “The Past, Present, and Future of the Toledo Museum of Art: A Conversation with CEO Adam Levine.”
Levine will discuss why art is important and how it is an economic driver for the community. During his six-year tenure, he has curated a range of exhibitions, advanced the museum’s first campus master plan, and oversees TMA’s $16 million budget and 250 employees.
He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Dartmouth College and continued his studies as a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford, where he earned a master’s degree and D. Phil. in the history of art.
The event, open to the campus and community, will take place will take place in the Winebrenner TLB Auditorium on the University of Findlay’s campus. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. for a breakfast buffet with the presentation from 8 to 9 a.m.
