UF Continues Solar Eclipse Program With Jay Ryan
Branden Ferguson Posted On January 3, 2024
University of Findlay continues its Solar Eclipse 2024 programming with guest speaker and educator, Jay Ryan, presenting “Eclipse Over Ohio” on January 17, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The presentation will take place at the Virginia B. Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion, inside of the Mazza Building.
Jay Ryan is an Ohio-based astronomy educator and will discuss what causes eclipses, what a person can expect to see during the total solar eclipse, address common eclipse “urban legends,” safe viewing habits, and the differing viewing conditions across the state of Ohio.
The total solar eclipse will take place on April 8, 2024, and Hancock County will be in the path of totality. This rare occurrence offers a chance for residents and visitors to witness the astronomical phenomena.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to learn about solar eclipses and their significance. University of Findlay’s Solar Eclipse 2024 program will continue with additional community events as the total eclipse draws near. The University will also be a host sight during April’s total solar eclipse and invites community members to take part in the historic event. For more information on the total solar eclipse, visit the University of Findlay website.
