College of Pharmacy Receives Donation for Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives

University of Findlay’s College of Pharmacy is pleased to announce a generous donation of $8,000 from Walgreens to support its diversity and inclusion efforts. The check was presented by Ryan Wagner, representing Walgreens, during a ceremony held this spring.
University of Findlay’s College of Pharmacy stands out as the only pharmacy program in Ohio to receive this additional funding for several consecutive years. The University’s dedication to fostering a culture of belonging and its proactive initiatives have earned it this distinction. The Buford Center for Diversity & Service, in conjunction with the College of Pharmacy DEI committee, has spearheaded various activities and programs aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion within the pharmacy profession.
Debra Parker, Pharm.D., dean of the College of Pharmacy, expressed her gratitude for Walgreens’ support and commitment to DEI efforts within the program. She stated, “We are grateful for Walgreens’ support and commitment to DEI efforts in our program. We continue to strive to foster a community that welcomes and respects all learners, and we are serious about training future pharmacists who are attuned to DEI in their future practices.”
University of Findlay’s College of Pharmacy’s focus on diversity and inclusivity extends beyond its commitment to students. The University aims to create an environment that values and embraces diversity in all its forms, ensuring that faculty, staff, and students thrive in an inclusive community.
