#25 Oilers Sweep Northwood
Midland, Mich.- The 25th-ranked University of Findlay volleyball team defeated Northwood University by a score of 3-0 (28-26, 25-13, 25-18) on Saturday, Oct. 11 to improve to 12-2 on the season with a 6-1 mark in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).
The Oilers hit .306 from the match and were led by senior Makenna Belcher, who had 13 kills. Senior Lauren Forester also had an outstanding match and totaled 11 kills,
Junior Hannah Miller nearly reached double digits in kills with nine to go along with nine digs while senior Emma White registered 35 assists and six digs. Her six digs pushed her over a 1,000 for her career, the 12th Oilers player to accomplish that feat.
Sage Kissman led the Timberwolves with 14 kills while Mackenzie Scheid had eight.
The Oilers will be back in action again on Oct. 17-18 at the Midwest Crossover in Hammond, Ind. The Oilers will play three matches at the event against opponents to be determined at a later date.

The Oilers got ahead early and went on to a dominating 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-22) victory over the familiar opponent. That win gives Findlay an 11-2 record with a 5-1 mark in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play while Hillsdale falls to 5-7 (3-3 G-MAC).
