Findlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay women's soccer team earned a hard-fought 0-0 draw against conference-leading #13 Ashland University on Thursday, October 30 at DeHaven Field. In a tightly contested match, both defenses stood tall as the Oilers and Eagles were unable to find the back of the net through 90 minutes of play.

Findlay (9-3-4, 8-2-2 G-MAC) generated strong offensive pressure in the second half, recording eight of their nine total shots after halftime. The Oilers placed four shots on goal, led by senior Sydney Noble, junior Allie Arnold, and freshman Addison Williams, who each tallied key scoring chances late in the match. 

Senior Ava Ayers also contributed with three total shots, one on frame, helping push the tempo in the attacking third.

Defensively, Findlay was outstanding. Senior Goalkeeper Cat Graves notched six saves en route to her fifth shutout of the season, while defenders senior Jenna Rybicki, senior Kaylynn Simon, and sophomore Mari Stojcevski anchored the back line and limited Ashland's dangerous opportunities. 

The Oilers committed just one foul in the match and won three corner kicks. 

Despite being outshot 13-9, the Oilers' second-half surge nearly broke the deadlock, with multiple close chances in the final minutes. The result extends Findlay's unbeaten streak to four matches and marks another strong performance against one of the top teams in the conference and nation.

The Oilers return to action this weekend on November 1 at 12 p.m. when they travel to Pepper Pike to face Ursuline.
