Kansas City, Mo.- The University of Findlay men's basketball team will begin the 2025-26 season as the 23rd-ranked team in NCAA Division II as the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) unveiled their preseason poll on Tuesday, Oct. 29. UF was the lone program in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) ranked in the poll. This is Findlay's first appearance in the preseason poll since 2019-20 when they were tabbed 17th.
The Oilers finished last season with a 24-5 record and a 17-3 mark in the league. Findlay's season came to an end as they fell in the quarterfinals of the Great Midwest Basketball Tournament. The Oilers will open their season Friday, Nov. 14 as they take on Truman State in Quincy, Ill. at 5pm CT / 6pm ET.

Having already clinched a spot in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championship earlier in the week, Findlay held on for their ninth win of the season at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium. With the win, Findlay improves to 9-5-2 on the season and 8-3-2 in the league. Meanwhile, Lake Erie falls to 4-5-8 on the year and 4-5-4 in the G-MAC.
