Established in 2024, the Oiler Choice Awards are designed to recognize the outstanding achievements of student-athletes in front of their peers.
- #19 Findlay Grinds Out 16-14 Win on Homecoming | 6-0 for First Time Since 1997Findlay, Ohio – It was far from a comfortable outcome, but winning is the goal and on Saturday, Oct. 11, that is exactly what the University of Findlay football team, ranked no. 19 in the country, accomplished. The Oilers, playing host to the always tough Hillsdale College Chargers, came away with a 16-14 victory in a defensive battle to improve to 6-0 (4-0 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC)) for the first time since 1997, the year of UF's last NAIA National Championship. Hillsdale, with the loss, falls to 2-4 overall with a 1-3 mark in G-MAC play. This marks the fourth consecutive win for the Oilers over the Chargers and the tenth win in their last 12 matchups.
- Findlay Secures 1-0 Home Win over NorthwoodFindlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay men's soccer team moved above .500 with a 1-0 shutout victory over Northwood University on Saturday, October 11, at DeHaven Field, handing the Timberwolves their seventh loss of the season.
- #25 Oilers Sweep Hillsdale for First Time in Ten YearsHillsdale, Mich. – The University of Findlay volleyball team, ranked no. 25 in the country in the latest American Volleyball Coaches' Association (AVCA) poll, went on the road to take on perennial conference title contender Hillsdale College on Friday, Oct. 10. The Oilers got ahead early and went on to a dominating 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-22) victory over the familiar opponent. That win gives Findlay an 11-2 record with a 5-1 mark in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play while Hillsdale falls to 5-7 (3-3 G-MAC).

- Zeisloft’s Late Goal Seals 1-0 Win Over Unbeaten NorthwoodFindlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay women's soccer team continued their strong run of form with a 1-0 victory over Northwood on Wednesday, October 9th at DeHaven Field. The win moves the Oilers to 6-2-3 overall and 5-1-1 in G-MAC play, extending their four-game win streak while handing the Timberwolves their first loss of the season. Northwood now sits at 5-1-3 overall and 2-1-3 in conference.
- Oilers Finish Seventh at Tom Tontimonia InvitationalWestlake, Ohio - The University of Findlay men's golf team finished up play at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational hosted by Cleveland State on Tuesday, Oct. 7. Being the only non-division one program in the field of 10 teams, the Oilers would finish in seventh place. They would end the final round with a team score of 293 (+), giving them a total score of 23 over.
