Oilers Stay Hot at Home Sweeping Clarion in Straight Sets
Findlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay volleyball team delivered a commanding performance on Sunday October 26, sweeping Clarion University 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-18) in Croy Gymnasium. With the win, the Oilers improve to 17-3 overall and 8-1 in G-MAC play, while Clarion drops to 10-12 and 4-4 in PSAC competition.
Findlay's offense was nearly unstoppable, hitting an impressive .443 as a team with 51 kills on 97 total attacks. The Oilers also led in nearly every statistical category, including assists (49–29), digs (47–31), and total points (62.0–40.0).
Senior outside hitter Lauren Foerster was outstanding, recording 14 kills on 23 attempts with zero errors for a blistering .609 hitting percentage.
Sophomore Grace Auer followed closely, tallying 13 kills, a .632 hitting percentage, and adding 10 digs, two blocks, and an ace for a match-high 15.5 points.
Senior Alana Pohlman also had a strong showing with 9 kills (.471) and five total blocks, finishing with 13.0 points.
Senior Setter Emma White ran the offense efficiently, dishing out 45 assists and contributing 8 digs, one ace, and a block assist. Senior Makenna Belcher added 11 kills and 8 digs, while junior Hannah Miller anchored the defense with 10 digs and a pair of service aces.
As a unit, Findlay's front line was dominant at the net, combining for 5 total blocks and limiting Clarion to just a .198 hitting percentage. The Oilers' consistent serving and strong first touches kept them in control from start to finish.
The Oilers will return to conference play next week when they travel to Canton to face Malone on October 31 at 7 p.m.

- #11 Football Under Consideration in First Regional RankingIndianapolis, Ind. – On Monday, Oct. 27, the NCAA released its' first round of regional rankings for each of the four super regions in football. The University of Findlay football team, which is one of seven undefeated teams in the country at 8-0, make an appearance in the poll which, for the first round of voting, is listed alphabetically as teams that are "under consideration". This is the second consecutive year that the Oilers have appeared in the debut of the regional rankings.
