Findlay Wins Big in Pepper Pike | Beats Ursuline 4-1
Pepper Pike, Ohio - The University of Findlay women's soccer team earned a decisive 4–1 victory over Ursuline College on Saturday, November 1 at the Ursuline Soccer Field. The win elevates the Oilers to 10-3-4 overall and 9-2-2 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play, while the Arrows fall to 4-11-1 overall and 2-10-1 in conference competition.
The Oilers controlled the match from start to finish, generating consistent offensive pressure and outshooting Ursuline 24–5, including 16 shots on goal. Findlay also held a commanding 9–1 advantage in corner kicks and committed only three fouls in a disciplined performance.
Findlay opened the scoring in the 19th minute when sophomore Avary Zeisloft recorded her fourth goal of the season, assisted by seniors Payton Miller and Jenna Rybicki. The Oilers extended their lead shortly after halftime as senior defender Jenna Rybicki netted her first goal of her career in the 49th minute to make it 2–0.
The offensive surge continued in the second half. Senior Sydney Noble scored her seventh goal of the year in the 66th minute, followed by senior Raegan Smith's fourth goal just three minutes later, assisted by junior Ashlyn Brown. Ursuline responded in the 70th minute with a goal, but the Oilers' defense remained solid the rest of the way to seal the victory.
Offensively, Noble led Findlay with four shots, all on target, while Rybicki contributed three shots, one goal, and one assist. Zeisloft, Smith, and Miller each tallied multiple shots, and a total of 13 Oilers registered at least one attempt.
In goal, senior Audrey Gibson-Zweifel played the full 90 minutes, recording two saves while allowing just one goal. Defensively, the Oilers limited Ursuline to three shots on frame, maintaining control of possession throughout the contest.
Findlay will return home on Tuesday, November 4, at 2:30 p.m. to conclude regular-season play with a matchup against Tiffin University.
