Men's Golf in a Tie for Fourth After Day 1 of Intercollegiate at Nemacolin

Farmington, PA. - The University of Findlay men's golf team returned to action on Monday, Oct. 20 for the first day of play in the Intercollegiate at Nemacolin hosted by Findlay. A planned 36 hole day was cut short due to darkness as the Oilers were only able to get in 30-32 holes before play was suspended. After 30 holes of action on day one, the Oilers find themselves tied for fourth place. A 303 (+15) in round one and a (+10) through 14 holes in round two places them at 25 over par.

Leading the Orange and Black through round one was freshman Luke Siefker. The freshman recorded a 72 (E). Following Siefker was Senior, Luke Metzger, who carded a 75 (+3), followed by freshman, Ross Dietz, 77 (+5), and sophomore, Cahle Roth, 79 (+7).

The Oilers continued to battle through 14 holes of round two. Luke Metzger is leading the way at even par. Continuing his strong freshman campaign, Ross Dietz sits at +1, followed by fellow freshman Luke Siefker at +4, and Cahle Roth at +5.

Playing as individuals, Jack Gerker sits at +7 while Cody Widener is +14.
