Findlay Secures 1-0 Home Win over Northwood
Findlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay men's soccer team moved above .500 with a 1-0 shutout victory over Northwood University on Saturday, October 11, at DeHaven Field, handing the Timberwolves their seventh loss of the season.
The Oilers struck early as senior Tom Middleham netted his sixth goal of the year in the ninth minute off a setup from junior Carson Oberski.
Despite being outshot 11–6, Findlay capitalized on its early chance and held firm defensively for the remainder of the match.
Senior goalkeeper Keegan Grant was outstanding between the posts, stopping six shots to earn his third shutout of the season.
Junior Leo Egerer and Oberski each recorded shots on goal, while seniors Andre Sardinha and Middleham, along with junior Tyler Pawlicki, contributed to the offensive push.
With the win, Findlay improves to 5-4-1 overall and 4-2-1 in G-MAC play, while Northwood falls to 0-7-4 (0-6-2 G-MAC).
The Oilers will look to continue their momentum on Tuesday, October 14, when they travel to Canton, Ohio, to take on Malone University at 7 p.m. in another conference matchup.

On a perfect fall day with temperatures in the mid-70s, the Oilers claimed the team title after two playoff holes decided the winner. This is the first time that Findlay has won the Doc Spragg, an event that debuted in the fall of 2018.
- Ouellet Earns G-MAC Athlete of the WeekIndianapolis, Ind.- Senior Audrey Ouellet was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Athlete of the Week as released by the conference office on Tuesday, Oct. 14. The honor comes following her performance at the ITA Midwest Regional.

Duflo led the top-ranked Oilers to a win at the William Beall Fall Classic. The squad blew away the field, winning by fourteen shots over seventh-ranked Grand Valley State and 36shots ahead of #23 Missouri- St. Louis.
